That Didn't Last Long

I broke up with Alex last night.

I felt bad about it, because he really liked me.
But he liked me a little too much for my comfort.
Plus I felt as if I'd rushed into the relationship too soon after breaking it off with Drew.

We did have our date first though.
Which I originally didn't want to do, because I didn't believe in having him pay to be dumped later that night.
But Izzy told me I should wait, so I did it when I felt it was right.

He told me he didn't want to be friends, I said okay, and that was that.

You live and learn, and he just wasn't a good match for me.
I felt that I was pressured into it, and that's never a good position to be put into.

I did win my damn Tweety though.
I came out of there with 1100 tickets, and Tweety was 650.
Izzy used some of her tickets, and I gave her my leftover ones, and this is what we wound up with:
I named mine Edward, and Izzy named her's Bella.
Pink and blue, boy and girl.
She's even wearing a Twilight shirt, what do you want from us?

We took some other pictures that night, too.
I'm going to label each one of them.
For the record, this took me 4 hours.

First, we decided to surprise the guys by showing up without calling first.
Look at how happy and surprised he was!
But that seemed to wear off fast. He was in a bit of a funk all day. Then we went in to say hi to Travis.Hi Travis! We chilled out on the couch while we waited for Alex Me and Travis have funMe and Izzy have a lot of fun together. Alex got jealous of all the hand holding and cheek kissing.Best FwiendsThe gang (at the time)First we went to the arcade, which I have no pics of, but then we went to Del Taco. Then we went bowling, and first played couples.
Me (Mini) and Alex (Kitten)
Izzy (Whobunn) and Travis (Little Pork)Then we played girls vs. guys"Did you ever notice the way you move your arms looks like a marionette?" -TravisFraternizing with the enemyAgain with the fraternizing
This is my "I got a strike" danceHappy Teammates
Very happy teammatesIs it just me, or does my arm look broken?I always kick my leg outI wub my IzzyAnd she threatens me with bowling balls to the headI'm light as a feather! And happy as a clam!It looks like she's flicking off the ball. She really just released it. Hahaha, ball flipper. All in all, bowling was fun.
We went back to their house after bowling, which is where I broke up with Alex.
But it was still a good night.
Dear jesus that was a lot of pictures.

Today I went to the chiropractor, and he even had to pop my wrist back in to place.
Hopefully it will feel better now.

New Layout - Octopuuuuuuuuus!

I decided to take a page out of Erin's book and went with an ocean creature layout.
The one difference from my usual layouts?
My picture isn't in the header!
I've grown so used to it that I figured it was time for a change.

The background took FOR-EV-ER.
Why?
Because I put each bubble in by hand, piece by piece, across the entire background.
I wanted them to all fit together perfectly instead of looking sloppy.

Of course the cute little octopus is out of season.
A scarf, during the summer? How uncouth.

I was tempted to put my head on a mermaid's body, but gimmicks like that don't really look good to me.
But a turtle's body, that's something I'd do!Lookit meee, I'm a turtleeeee!

Today Izzy is coming over, and then we're going with the guys to bowl and go to an arcade.
Last time we went, we spent all of our tokens on skeeball.
Skeeball is addicting for me. And I don't even know why.
It's so easy to mess up when you're playing that game.
Although I guess if you play it enough and develop some talent, it can be truly addicting.
I still have my tickets from last time at the arcade, so I'm hoping that this time I can earn enough to get a pink tweety bird.Who can resist a sparkly tweety bird?
Uh, no one!
Except I'll probably end up getting the blue one.

I'm hoping to get over 10 comments on this post. I really like getting more comments.
It's an addiction really. I check my email all the time to see how many comments I've gotten.
If I've gotten one, I feel giddy inside.
Hopefully Drew will get to feel that way through his blogging.

Also, now that I've removed my acrylic nails, I'll be able to bowl without a constant fear of ripping of my actual fingers nails.
It's very scary trying to bowl with acrylic nails. You never know if you're going to rip them off or not.

We were also planning on going to Olive Garden tomorrow, but we don't have the money for that.
I'm going to get some cash from my mom, but that would never cover an olive garden meal.

Hopefully today goes well, and if it doesn't, you guys will be the first to hear about it.
After all, you always are. Also, please visit Drew's blog:

I'm Horribly Indecisive

I didn't like the last post that I did, and neither did you guys considering I got two comments on it.
So what did I do?
I deleted it.
Heck, why not? I'm in more of a chatty mood now anyway.

Yesterday was my mom's birthday, and we went to the mall. She bought me this shirt:I'm too lazy to take a picture of myself in it, and this girl just looked too darn cute.
(Nah, it's all about the laziness).
She also bought me a couple other shirt, but bought herself a million shirts.

We came home and just chilled, and then Alex, Izzy, and Travis decided to come over for a little while.
We cut the mini-cakes, ate, and then the 4 of us left and went to Quiznos.
We got torpedoes, which I'd never had before. Alex and I shared an italian one.

Then I came home and we went to sleep. It felt nice going to sleep at an early time.
If eleven counts as early.

Today Izzy was supposed to come over, but her mom made her bail.
She's 23 and her mom still controls that. How ridiculous, right?
Tomorrow is our weekly bowling thing together, and then some time next week I'm leaving for 2 weeks to go to Tennessee with my mom for my grandparents 60th anniversary.
While I'm gone I might not be able to blog as often, but I'll check in as often as I can.
Usually we stay at my grandparent's house, but this year we're going to stay in a hotel.

I've also been doing 100-200 situps a day, depending on how I feel.
Today's one of my 100 days.
I've been keeping my weight around 117, and I'm happy with it.

Also, the thing with Shelby was a misunderstanding.
But you can see where I'd get the idea I was being cut out.

I need some ideas for a new layout, so lay it on me. :)

Friends Forever?

I don't know what in the hell is going on with Shelby right now.
We had plans to hang out on Saturday, and she completely blew me off.
She told me on Friday that she was going into the mountains on Friday, and that she would be back Saturday.
I thought, well maybe she just stayed up in the mountains longer?
So Sunday rolls around, I text her a little more.

No response.

Okay, that's a little odd, but I'll take it for what it's worth.
I text her today, the same number I've always texted.
The same number she was answering from on Friday.
The reply I get back?
"Who is this?"
"Um... Lee?"
"Who's Lee?"
"Is this Shelby?"
"Who's Shelby?"

Of course at this point I'm wondering, um, what the hell?
So later in the day I call her mom.
I ask her if Shelby's number has changed. Nope.
She tells me that Shelby was at her mom's house on Saturday.
So Shelby lied to me, and didn't bother calling me.
She tells me to call Shelby at her dad's house.

I call at her dad's house. Her sister answers. She says Shelby is napping.
I tell her it's important, and ask if she'll wake up Shelby for me.
Shelby locks her door and says she'll "call me later".

I know she reads my blog, I'm not sure if she does now, but I know she did for a while.
So, what the hell Shelby? Why all of the lying?
I feel betrayed. I feel like I'm being cut out of her life, and I don't even know what I did to deserve it.
She could have come to the phone when I called, but she made a point of ignoring my call.

Even Drew was surprised by it. Why would Shelby, my best friend since 6th grade, cut me out of her life so suddenly?
Maybe it's all a misunderstanding, but with everything that is surrounding the situation, it seems way too convoluted and complicated to be a misunderstanding.

If she really is cutting me out, I guess my core group of friends is Izzy, Alex, Travis, and Drew.
No more of this:
My hope is that it's all just a stupid misunderstanding.
But hopes don't always come to fruition. At times it can truly be your worst thought, and not your best hope.

So pray for me, for my relationship with my best friend. Pray that she sees this and explains whatever is going on. Pray she doesn't leave me out in the cold.

I'll tell you guys about my mom's birthday after it happens, and about Izzy coming over. But right now, my mind is so consumed with this that it's torturing me. Where is my best friend?

We have our ups and downs, but he deserves some blog love too!

Happy Early Birthday

Tomorrow's my mom's birthday.
I ran down to walmart and got her a card, some flowers, and a bunch of crap to make a cake.
Except instead of one cake, I made 4 mini cakes.
Each with 3 mini tiers.

I say I made 4, but in my heart I made 2.
Because the other 2 look like crap.
I can sense a sugar coma coming on just looking at the little bastards. Her favorite color is green, which is why I trimmed it with green.
Considering I've never made mini-cakes before, I'm pretty proud of them.
I figured she doesn't want a lot of cake, so a personal cake is better.

Speaking of birthdays, last night I found out none of my friends knew my birthday.
Not even Drew.
I know ALL OF THEIRS.
It made me feel so miserably unimportant. I even cried.

I've also figured out that I like salmon. Only from Fresh and Easy though.
It doesn't taste fishy. I ate it WITHOUT SAUCE. No tartar sauce. It was crazy. Usually I drown fish in it.
Even tilapia.
Which by the way Izzy, isn't a bottom-feeder. I looked it up. Farm raised tilapia eat a healthy diet, not poo.

Shelby was supposed to come over Saturday, but completely blew me off. Now when I text her phone I get "Who is this?" and "Who's Lee?" "Who's Shelby?"
Either her friends are dicks, or something's weird. So I'm calling her mom/dad today.

Izzy told me that from now on Thursday is bowling night with our crew. So I hope I get good at bowling fast.
I'm soaking off my acrylic nails today, because I'm sick of them. :)

And... that's about it. I'm going to comment your blogs tonight like I usually do.

(sorry, my days tend to be dull during the summer)
