Why?
Because the New Moon DVD has already been made, packaged, and shipped to the stores.
How do I know?
My friend Seth works at Toys R Us, and he had his hands on 15,000 copies of New Moon yesterday.
So then, dear production company... why does it take FOR. FREAKING. EVER. for you to come out with the DVD, when it's SITTING IN A WAREHOUSE?
I call shenanigans.
I tried to bribe my friend into stealing one to no avail.
Not FAIR. I want to touch New Moon!
But, I do get to see it before (almost) everyone else. My dad's friend does movie previews, where he gives tickets to certain people to come and give their opinion. He had remembered that I wanted to see New Moon, and when he got tickets he asked my dad if I'd like to go.So, I'll be seeing New Moon on November 18th.
Sure, it's only two days early. But... it's still two days early. AWESOME.
I would invite you all... but I only have two tickets, and if all of you got to come, it wouldn't be as special for me! So neener.

I suspect that they do that with most DVDs and movies.
