A Calling

I finally got to see my psychologist today to discuss my fear.
After talking for about an hour and a half, she told me she thinks that I have this fear for a reason.
She said she thinks it's my calling in life to research these things and figure things out for myself.
She gave me a book written about eastern religions. She said that it would probably make a lot of sense to me, because it melds science with religion in a way that's "logical".
My problem has been trying to make the concept of death "logical". More the concept of life after death than anything else.
But she says that this shaman guy explains everything in a way that's scientific and makes perfect sense.
I'm hoping it will help me out.

But overall my fear has lifted quite a bit, especially after talking to her. Things just make more sense now.

I'm going to see Carlos Mencia Live tonight, which'll be really fun.
It's actually hilarious to me, the whole situation. His show is 18+. So my PARENTS instructed me to "dress older". Rare occasion that parents want their kids to look older. "Throw on some red lipstick and heels!"

I've always loved Carlos Mencia, and before tonight I didn't realize his show had been canceled. That's pretty stupid to me. Mind of Mencia was really funny.
What, you guys get too "offended"? Give me a break. He was an equal-opportunity comedian. He makes fun of EVERYONE no matter WHO they are.

The show's at 9... which sucks. Because Ren Faire is tomorrow, and I have to get up at 7. I won't even get home until 12 or 1 AM. Ungh. Waking up will be torture.

Better news though, I bought the $25 wings. And leaves and stuff. So I'm going to be a super nature fairy.
My mom told me that next year I shouldn't dress up. I asked what she was on.
Ren Faire and Anime Vegas are the two (okay, Halloween too) things I get to dress up for. I LOVE wearing costumes.
I'd wear a new costume everyday if I could.
This stems from my love of attention. I wear bright red lipstick to school. I wear super short dresses (with shorts underneath) just to watch people wondering if I'm going to flash my panties.
It's fun. I don't care if you say I love attention, it's TRUE. And that's how I want it to be.

Except negative attention. That can just go, thank you very much.

Anyway, I'm going to go watch TV with my dad and answer some emails before I leave. Let's see if I get some attention tonight...

The book sounds interesting! I hope it helps alleviate your fears! My younger cousin has this one book about religion where this guy sets out to prove that there's no God, but can't.

I'm glad you were able to find wings in time for the fair! I hope you have fun and put up lots of pictures! :)
